Biography

Ionel Stefan, Senior Scientist at Amprius, joined the company in 2009. He initially led efforts in electrochemistry for silicon nanowire anode-based lithium-ion batteries. Today, he spearheads Amprius' work in silicon nanowire electrochemistry, cell technology, and product development.

At Amprius, Ionel has served as Principal Investigator on projects funded by NASA, the Army, the DOE, and USABC. His expertise includes material design, cell design, and engineering.
